I have recently completed a commission for South Tyneside LEA in the form of a String Trio. The new work is to be recorded and entered for a competition. The work features inverted textures and holds an interesting soundscape in sections. When the work is recorded I will put a sound sample up on the site. Stay tuned for further developments. The suite for string orchestra is now almost finished, I have taken two rehearsals with the orchestra concerned and the first three movements have been received with great enthusiasm. They have worked very hard to take in a lot of the new techniques required in the work, which I know they find a challenge. The fourth and final movement is now being drafted and will be added by the end of the week to finish the work. A first performance is expected in September.

I have recieved a request to write a work for small string orchestra. Having started initial drafts the work is starting to take shape. It will take the form of a theme and variations. The Suite for windband is nearing completion and will be handed over for first rehearsal soon. Check back for future updates.
